My Time in Madrid

My experiences in Madrid have been slightly different to those in Murcia. I had to adapt my lessons to high school children and even adults, who I taught in the night classes that the school offers.

I enjoyed the challenge of teaching teenagers who had little to no previous experience of English. Madrid is a much busier city compared to Puerto de Mazarrón, where I lived and even to the larger nearby city, Murcia but I enjoyed the social aspect and the wider range of activites and events that the city offers. During my time in IES Emilio Castelar in Carabanchel, I assisted the teachers in encouraging students to participate and organising the Big Challenge. The Big Challenge is a optional English quiz that is available to European countries to improve the English levels and motivate the students to practise English.
